Dr Ireland is a Cairns based GP and accredited skin cancer doctor with a focus on skin cancer detection, dermoscopy and treatment.
His current interest lies in the dermoscopic evaluation using Ultraviolet light to delineate melanoma from surrounding skin.
He is committed to thorough assessment, clear communication and patient-centred care.
Dr Ireland Co-founded Northern Skin Doctors to deliver high quality skin cancer medicine for Far North Queensland.
He is passionate about medical education and contributes to the training and supervision of doctors at all levels.
He is joint medical director of the clinics & leads the Port Douglas clinic.

Outside of work, Ben enjoys spending time with his family, fishing on the reef, a round of golf and a swim in our tropical waters (when its safe!).
He's a passionate Parramatta Eels supporter and rarely misses a game.
